... memory solutions for budget-minded gamers for as long as I can remember. It will be a shame to see them possibly being pulled out of the Microsoft market like a thorn in its side. At least that’s most likely how Microsoft sees it. They probably see Datel and other 3rd party manufacturers as thieves of their own potential profits in regards to memory units, controllers, etc.
Who knows if this is just the beginning of 3rd party hardware lockouts…we shall see.

... I did contact a number of companies -- including Xbox 360 accessory manufacturers Datel, Logitech, Mad Catz, Hori and Nyko -- but other than Hori, none responded to my requests for comment. Hori does not manufacture storage devices, nor does it plan to, the company told me. To my knowledge, Datel is the only company who produces memory devices affected by this change that are easily found at retailers like Amazon.com. Datel did release a statement to CVG.
