Square Enix Has "No Plans" For English FFXIII Blu-ray Demo [No Plans Watch]
Kotaku —
... abroad, partly because we are going to carry on with the project alongside the Xbox version, so we really can't just make it available only for the PS3." But does no Blu-ray demo mean no demo at all? "But we hear that the demo version normally means something that you can download in the West," Kitase continued, "so that is a possibility we would like to check." That's nice of them to check and all, but we're pretty sure demos are things you can download in Japan, too. Kitase: No plans for Blu-ray FFXIII demo outside Japan [VideoGamer via Final ...
No Blu-Ray Demo For 'FFXIII' Outside Of Japan?
G4 TV - TheFeed —
... when a FFXIII demo is finally released. A downloadable version would obviously make the most sense, but given that there still isn’t a release date for FFXIII in Japan, it could be a while before the demo hits Western consoles (even though localization is being handled more efficiently this tiem around). The solution: downloadable demos, which they see as a more common practice around these Western parts. Logical solution. ...
Square Enix Wants Final Fantasy XIII Demo on Xbox 360
Planet Xbox 360 —
... Kitase explained that a PS3-exclusive demo would be unfair to the Western audience that's also expecting an Xbox 360 demo. "We are going to carry on with the project alongside the Xbox version, so we really can't just make it available only for the PS3," he explained. Kitase then noted that the company "would like to check" on the possibility of a downloadable demo. We're certain the logistics behind delivering a 5GB demo to the PSN/XBL masses will be quite difficult to figure out. [SOURCE]
