High Voltage news explosion: The Conduit - no split-screen multiplayer, no lan multiplayer, final date set and sequel hints, and Animales de la Muerte going full-disc
GoNintendo — This information comes from Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage Software… - The official release date is set for June 9th - there is no lan multiplayer. High Voltage had it working, but Nintendo wouldn’t allow it - no split-screen multiplayer, but it was heavily hinted that this is possible if a sequel comes around - Animales de la Muerte is too big for WiiWare, so it will be release via retail disc instead Link This entry was posted on Saturday, February 7th, 2009 at 10:34 pm and is filed under ...

The Conduit Gets Release Date, Lacks Split Screen Multiplayer
GayGamer.net — ... to get the impression that the feature could be included in a potential sequel to the game, should it garner enough sales to earn one. Also missing from the game is LAN multiplayer, which was quashed by Nintendo itself. Nofsinger also confirmed that work is ongoing on the comedy title Animales de la Muerte, but that the large amount of audio was pushing it off WiiWare and onto a retail disk. No timeframe or further details about the game were given. No Local Multiplayer in The Conduit, Possibility for Sequel [Nintendo World Report]

Conduit gets zero local multiplayer, Nintendo cockblocks LAN support
Destructoid — ... For a system that is known more about "family" bollocks and not for its online support, you could be forgiven for assuming without confirmation that local multiplayer would be a given in any Wii game. Sadly, however, High Voltage's The Conduit will lack local multiplayer, although the possibility is there for a sequel. ...

Nofsinger: Animales de la Muerte on hold
Infendo - Nintendo blog — Esto no es bueno, mis amigos. Nintendo World Report is reporting High Voltage Software’s Animales de la Muerte has been put on hold. According to Chief Creative Officer Eric Nofsinger, High Voltage cannot fit the game into Nintendo’s size limitations for WiiWare games. Nintendo does not approve games larger than 40 megabytes for inclusion onto the WiiWare service. Nofsinger gave no plans for a future release, but Nintendo World Report claims the game will be a retail release if it is published. Announced in ...

Animales De La Muerte No Longer WiiWare Bound
GamerBytes — ... killing simulator, will no longer be coming out for it. Animales de la Muerte was announced an awful long time ago. It was certainly the most ambitious WiiWare game game from High Voltage, but it appears to have gotten too large for the WiiWare's mearger 40 megabytes filesize. The game is currently on hold, with the plan to turn it into a retail Wii release. A real shame, hopefully the can expand on the concept to make a really cool game.
