A response to September’s NPD numbers

September saw a very interesting NPD. While the DS was once again the number one best-selling platform, it was the console race that was really interesting. The PS3 managed to take the top spot for consoles, knocking Nintendo out of their long-time position. Still, the Wii managed to see an over 30% increase in sales, thanks to its price cut. Where does the industry go from here, and just who is going to come out king when the dust settles?
