... integrating it into the PSN to create a more streamlined experience. The update will also allow us to check out our friend’s lists on the site. Other features are rating and reviewing games but I’m not sure if you can build a collection to show what you own. These all seem like good additions to me and I really like the design in the screenshot above. I look forward to when it launches next week.

These improvements come at a cost though, as the PlayStation Underground program, which has been in existence since the original PlayStation has been "dissolved." The snapshot of the new version of the site implies that the Gamer Advisory Panel hasn't gone by the wayside though, so freebies and early access may still be in the cards. Following the account-linking process, users are presented with a "PlayStation identity card" which bears a streaking resemblance to gamertags. From the looks of it, Sony may be shifting the way its online web presence works, perhaps trying to move towards a more online data-rich system as used by Microsoft. Sony has hinted that more changes are coming on the official PlayStation blog .
