While Viacom, the owner of the Rock Band game series, has been vocal in touting impressive sales numbers for the hit music game, what seemed to have been completely glanced over was a recent report by Credit Suisse which indicates that the game series simply has not been profitable since day one.

GoNintendo — Would you believe that the Rock Band franchise has been nothing but a money hole for Viacom since day one? That’s what a report from Credit Suisse says. It looks like the franchise has been bleeding more money than it actually made, and that only from this point on, money will start to be made on the Rock Band franchise.
