Project Natal a console launch in and of itself?
That VideoGame Blog —
... You guys ready for a crazy rumour? The fellas over at 1UP chatted up what can be expected of Project Natal when it (possibly) launches sometime next year and word has it that it won’t just be any old peripheral release. No sir! Natal may in fact be a relaunching of the Xbox 360 itself, with a new title (they suggest Xbox Natal, I suggest Xbox Please Don’t Do This). There’s a chance the relaunched console will not only come with the camera but also incorporate slight hardware upgrades to allow developers to take ...
New Xbox To Launch In 2010? [Rumor]
Kotaku —
... I like the idea of two 360 consoles, especially two with varying hardware configurations; what's to stop developers from optimising for the more powerful unit and leaving owners of the older 360 with a sloppy, sub-standard product? Hopefully that's not a problem, and if true, the "new" console is just a rebranded, repackaged 360. First impressions, fresh start and all that. We've contacted Microsoft for comment, and will let you know if/when they get back to us. Rumor: Xbox Natal is Actually Microsoft's Next Console [1UP]

Rumor: Natal to launch with new Microsoft system
Destructoid —
... So Natal is a big deal, or it hopefully will be for Microsoft's sake. But I bet you didn't think it could become an even bigger deal, did you? How big a deal? How about new console big. Rumor now has it that Natal won't just be an add on for the 360, but will launch with an entirely new Microsoft console as well. Yea, not a new SKU of the 360, a new console with new features and a new name. ...
Rumor: Natal Bringing New Xbox Along For The Ride
GayGamer.net —
... all they have to say, so take it with a grain or a heaping tablespoon of salt. Personally, I'll be cautiously optimistic about the idea: in a lot of ways, Natal feels like next-generation idea, in that even Microsoft is not quite ready for it. I mean I'm sure having pretend kickballs smack your fake head is awesome, but it's not selling me on the concept yet. If new hardware will help sell the idea of real motion controlled gaming, I'm up for it.

Rumor: New Xbox in 2010
Oklahoma City Console Game Examiner —
... reported that the launch of Project Natal next year will be as big as a console launch. Well, 1up is saying, based on an interview with Microsoft, that it will be as big as a console launch because Project Natal will be part of a new console for Microsoft. Supposedly it won't be an outright new system, rather a more powerful, faster Xbox 360. Two issues that might concern gamers is Project Natal was said to work with your existing Xbox, so Natal being a system in itself would go against that statement. Secondly, all these gamers who have recently purchased an Elite, for a ...

Rumor: Natal is Actually Next Xbox
The Escapist : Latest News —
If Microsoft is treating the launch of Project Natal like the launch of a new console, that's because it actually is the launch of a new console - at least, that's what some speculative rumors are saying. Ah, yes. It wouldn't be a new technology reveal without the requisite flood of rumors surrounding said new technology. In this case, we're getting a report via 1UP about Microsoft's new, much-hyped Project Natal. Last week, Microsoft strategist Shane Kim said that the software giant was treating the release of Natal ...

No New Xbox Next Year
BeefJack —
... Following a report that Microsoft are planning on releasing a new console as early as next year, said report is now being shown as false. The hardware will not be an updated console, but is more likely to be an Xbox 360 that packs the forth coming Project Natal motion and speech recognition camera in with it. The next Xbox probably wont launch until stereoscopic 3D TV’s are common place, so it can take advantage of the new technology. Source: ...

Slow As Sunday- The new Xbox 360?
Gaming Nexus —
... the basic, middle, and advanced pricing ring that has been established by Microsoft. While this move makes sense, after all the most basic improvement that could be made would be a hard drive memory increase, I'm sure that many speculators thought (myself included) that the next Xbox 360 would have something to do with Project Natal. Whether or not this "Super Elite" is supposed to be the next Xbox 360, one that is Natal compatible, that David Ellis suppousedly let slip out during a press conference this year, or just a move by Microsoft to make some money by ...
