What Is The Story In Dragon Quest IX About Anyway?

... A few of the early quests are described too . In the beginning of the game you get to fetch magic spring water, slay ten Tentsuku monsters, and steal an item from a Metal Hunter for a fellow thief. You get these quests by talking to townsfolk and completing them can unlock more quests. Unlike the other Dragon Quest games it sounds like Dragon Quest IX is going to have a bunch of open ended mini-quests.
