This one kinda hits it close to home. It’s not uncommon for artist to usually get the short end of the stick in the industry. But every time it does happen, it’s really disappointing. The latest in such situations deals with the recently released Ghostbusters on the Wii. If you ...

Artist’s work used as inspiration for Ghostbusters visual style on Wii, yet original artist isn’t credited in game
GoNintendo —
... that his Ghostbusters artwork was the direct inspiration for the visual style of the Wii version, and he was 100% promised a mention in the credits of the game. Unfortunately, that credit never made it into final release. Now Mr. Schoening gets to enjoy the sting of not being recognized for his work.
Is this issue going to be corrected in future pressings of the game? I really doubt it, but at least we can try to spread the word and drum up support.

Artist Behind Style for Wii Ghostbusters Left Uncredited in Game?
Kombo.com —
[image] It's always kind of sad when this happens, if not a little stomach-turning. And now, one mind behind the newly-released Ghostbusters: The Video Game for the Wii has been similarly left out in the cold. TrueGameHeadz reveals the story of ...

... they worked many, many more hours on this game than Mr. Dan I can assure you. Does that make it right? No it doesn't. That's just how it played out. "Borth admits that Schoening's name was omitted, but is adamant that it was not done intentionally. While not having "space" for the artist's credit is one of the saddest attempts at an excuse we've ever heard, Borth apologized to Schoening for the omission and thanked him for his work on the dev's official blog. Review: Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Wii)
Destructoid —
... On the graphical side of things, there's nothing too special here besides the nice, cartoony style of the characters (although the designs have questionable origins). At best, the game looks like it belongs on the Playstation 2, and that's really a shame, as much better can and has been done on the Wii. There is also some noticeable slowdown while fighting lots of respawning, flying enemies, which happens a few times near the end of the game. The score is taken straight from the movies, but isn't too varied. On the other hand, the dialogue is humorous and the ...
