Japan: Wii Sales Hit Eight Million

Japanese Wii sales surpassed eight million units as of April 19, according to Famitsu publisher Enterbrain.
The console has been on sale in the country since December 2, 2006.
A Kotaku translation of the article also shows that Wii Sports, which wasn’t bundled with the system at launch in Japan, is the system’s top-selling title to date.
