Advice Wanted for Evil Henchmen and Bosses
GoNintendo — There has been a lot of discussion about end-level bosses in gaming. Do games need to have bosses at the end of every level? Is this aspect of gaming a relic from the early days in the industry? There’s no doubt that games have moved on since the days of the NES, but boss battles remain. Do game journalists lack morals?
GoNintendo — ... for what is right. When it comes to review scores, nothing should influence you but the game you are reviewing. As I have said with you guys, I will never, ever be swayed by anything but the product. PR relationships, free press goodies, invites to events…none of that. You will always get my honest opinion. I am not saying I am better than anyone out there…but I will always stay true to myself, and to you guys. That is one of the most important things to me, when it comes to my work.
