"Bulk Of" Microsoft's 1400 Job Cuts To Strike Entertainment Division [Rumor]
Kotaku — ... Zune and Windows Mobile, so losses would presumably be spread across all three. While we're not terribly interested in either of those, we are interested in potential cuts to the Xbox team, particularly since we've already seen two instances of that today in the sackings at Gamerscore and ACES. First Microsoft Layoff Coming In Gaming Division?

But speaking of layoffs, I'd almost prefer to be one of the people dropped from Microsoft today, if only to avoid spending the next 18 months going through waves of layoffs, knowing that 3,600 more were coming, and never quite knowing if yours is the next head on the corporate chopping block.  Source
