Castlevania: The Arcade Now Available in Arcades Across Japan

Now, can someone tell me again why this idea is okay for arcades, but somehow isn't fit for the Wii, which pretty much has the wand-and-pointer stuff down pat?
Maybe someday they'll port it. While they're at it, they can throw in the first Castlevania arcade game in as a bonus.

Despite Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi stating time and again that he has no interest in developing a new entry in the series for the Nintendo Wii in which players use the Wii remote to whip monsters, Konami has created a new Castlevania game for Japanese arcades in which players, well, use a special whip controller to beat enemies as if it were going out of style.
