In Resident Evil 5 You'll Be Able to Move and Shoot
Kombo.com — [image] Okay, so, picture this: You're playing a game that claims to be Survival Horror in genre. You're making your way through a decimated village, trying to fight off hordes of the infected. You've got a pistol and a laser sight. What would make this situation scarier? How about removing the ability to shoot while moving. If you want to take on the masses, you have to stop, aim and shoot. None of this "walking" when shooting. Running while shooting? Forget it! In Resident Evil 5 on the other hand...this game really is attempting to go the way of Gears of War, the speaker in the video says so himself. Around the 1:20 point, Mark Webster, Director of Marketing for ...

Resident Evil 5 to Include Optional "Run and Gun" Controls
Planet Xbox 360 — Ever since the Resident Evil 5 demo released onto Xbox Live a few weeks ago the internet has been booming with opinions on the game, and most of all the new control scheme. Luckily Capcom has revealed that "run and gun" will be included. Personally I played through the first half of the game using the old-school RE controls and had a blast, but with the action games being so popular today it really comes as no surprise that this is given as an option. Stay tuned for a full hands-on preview of Resident Evil 5 later this month right here at PlanetXbox360.com, for now check out a video interview from OXM Magazine where Capcom reveals the optional control settings.

Seriously, there's no run and gun in Resident Evil 5, but here are your options
Destructoid — There's been bit of confusion going around on the Internet today, following the posting of an Official Xbox Magazine video on YouTube. In the video, a Capcom Director of Marketing Mike Webster very clearly states that a new set of controls will allow you to "move while you're shooting." To me, this was puzzling -- I finished playing through the first three chapters of the game last week (can't talk about it yet, don't ask), and well... I certainly couldn't do that with any of the control options. Why? Well, it's because you can't. Capcom's Chris Kramer clears things up, using capital letters for ...

Installs and optional controls of Resident Evil 5
That VideoGame Blog — Xbox LIVE gold subscribers have been playing through the two levels of the Resident Evil 5 demo since last week while PS3 owners have to wait until Thursday to get their hands on time with it. One of the biggest complaints about RE5 or the franchise in general is the sluggish tank-like character controls. It really got our hearts pumping when the game was still in the survival horror genre but it’s safe to say RE5 is more “actiony” than horror so the controls must reflect that change. On an episode of The OXM Report Capcom’s director of marketing Mike Webster confirmed there will be an option ...
