GDC 09: Modern Warfare 2 teaser released, game dated
Destructoid —
The 9th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards ended with a bang -- a bang that could only be brought by a teaser for a hype-inducing game of Modern Warfare 2's level. Infinity Ward put the debut video for the first-person shooter on full display, and you better believe we've got it embedded post-jump. Besides a green-tinted montage of various locales accompanied by cries of agony and constant gunfire, and of course Modern Warfare 2's release date (November 10 of this year), it's not a whole lot for more casual fans to go on. But, you know what? It's quite frankly better than ...
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Dated For Nov. 10 In First Trailer [Gdc09]
Kotaku —
Activision and Infinity Ward capped off tonight's Game Developers Conference Awards with the first trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Tim Schafer described it as the complete opposite of baby pictures. The trailer starts with the Infinity Ward logo, with background noise on a green waveform turning into a series of human shaped silhouettes, then an elevator door. The perspective changes to inside the elevator, still in green sound outlines. The elevator descends, opening up to what appears to be an airport security line. Then a hail of gunfire, a flash ...

Video: Modern Warfare 2 Launches 11.10.09
Wired: Game|Life —
SAN FRANCISCO -- A surprise unveiling during the GDC awards show: Modern Warfare 2, the followup to 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, has been announced.
This teaser trailer was shown at Game Developers Conference Wednesday evening. Looks like the game's subtitle is now the full title, at least for now. Interesting that they seem to be dropping the Call of Duty monicker and spinning it out into a separate brand. Makes sense, when you consider it's Activision we're talking about here.
Modern Warfare 2 will be ...
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 Teaser and Release Date
Planet Xbox 360 —
The Game Developers Conference 2009 awards ended with a bang a few minutes ago as Infinity Ward unveiled the long-awaited teaser trailer for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2. It doesn't show much but it does include a firm release date. Not a huge surprise as far as the timing goes, but it's nice to know that the sequel will officially be hitting retail stores on November 10, 2009 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. The trailer starts with the Infinity Ward logo, with background noise on a green waveform turning into a series of human shaped silhouettes, then an elevator door. The perspective changes to inside the elevator, still in ...
Who’da Thunk It? It’s Only Modern Warfare 2
Rock, Paper, Shotgun —
GDC continues to out-E3 E3 with yet another incredi-announcment. This time it’s Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2. Note that’s not “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2″, just “Modern Warfare 2.” Which is an odd choice. Is it fear of “Call of Duty 5″ sounding too haggard and aged? Is it shame/annoyance at Treyarch’s entries in the COD lineage? Or is it because they want to save “COD 5″ for a different theme, as 4 was to CODs 1/2/3?
Anyway, atmospheric but possibly controversial teaser trailer beneath the digi-hurdle.

Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2 GDC Trailer
Co-Optimus —
GDC 09 was the perfect time for Infinity Ward to take the shroud of secrecy of its upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sequel. It would have been the perfect time to announce and show of the game's co-op gameplay modes. Unfortunately we are only left with a teaser trailer that doesn't really show us much of anything except a release date.

We really aren't any further along than before, and it's still unclear as to whether or not the latest CoD will support co-op, but if the community feedback is any indication - well it damn well better have ...
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Teaser
PS3 Blog and Community | PS3Blog.net —
I am excited for this! Call of Duty 4 is my favourite shooter ever. One of the few games I have ever afforded time to complete on the hardest difficulty. So far from the trailer I can make out Russians in an Airport and an Oil rig. Does that make the final epilogue of 4 (Mile High Club) a prequel to this game?
