When done well, animated music videos, or AMVs for short, can be pretty cool. This usually requires some good editing skills, some dynamic or fitting imagery, and music which works well with said imagery.
Sadly, many fall short, resulting in Pokemon/Linkin Park mixes, or however many videos there are of Powerman 5000 being played over a Super Smash Bros. match.
Fortunately, we have a better pairing for you today, as Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" is paired with Super Mario Galaxy for a pretty nice 4-minute diversion. Check it out:
This is just good stuff. Nintendo probably could have used something like this as a commercial for the game when it was released.

Don’t Stop Super Mario Galaxy Now

I’ve been out of the gaming loop for awhile now (more on that later), but I still check on things once in awhile. Luckily for me, as I was looking through the stuff I’ve missed the past few days, I came accross the most magnificent video. Not only does it showcase one of the best Wii games (and one of my favorite games ever), but it’s set to my favorite Queen song of all time.
So sit back and enjoy two of the greatest things ever coming together for the first time.

This is a surprisingly good mix, I would of never thought to combine Queen and Super Mario Galaxy. This makes me wonder what other songs could mix well with other various Nintendo games and characters? Anyone got any ideas?
